Your dashboard

/dashboard is your own corner of Atlas. Unlike the rest of the site, most of it is not about the global fleet — it is about your RIPE Atlas account: your credit balance, the probes you host, and the measurements you own.

Requires a signed-in account.

You need a RIPE Atlas API key

The personal sections read from RIPE on your behalf, using a RIPE Atlas API key stored on your Atlas profile. Without one, the page shows a "RIPE Atlas API key required" panel and a link to set it.

Generate the key in your RIPE Atlas account, then paste it into the RIPE Atlas API key card on your profile. There is a Test key button there — use it, because a key RIPE rejects surfaces on the dashboard as a gateway error rather than an obvious "wrong key" message.

Every dashboard request is scoped to your own session. There is no path by which one account can read another's credits, probes or measurements.

What is on the page

Platform health strip

A compact data-delay widget sits above everything else, so "is the ingestion pipeline healthy right now?" is the first thing you see. It refreshes on its own 60-second loop, independent of the page's Refresh button.

This part is about the platform, not about you, and it is shown even when no API key is set.

Coverage changes

Countries that just lost or regained their last connected probe, with counts for how many are dark (no connected probe), how many are hanging on a single probe, and recent transitions — first ever probe, reconnected, went dark, unstable.

Fed by an hourly detection pass rather than a live fleet scan, so it is a snapshot. Staff can jump from here into country coverage; everyone else sees the card without the link.

Open issues

Your open issues, newest and most urgent first, with comment counts. Also shown on the no-API-key empty state, since it needs nothing from RIPE.

Credits

The headline pair is credit balance and days runway, with net daily balance underneath — green when income outpaces spend, red when it doesn't. Runway shows "—" rather than a number when you are net positive or more than a year out.

Below that, top income sources (hosted, sponsored and ambassador probes and anchors) and top expense sources (the measurements costing you the most), each with the timestamp of the last credit and debit.

The daily rates come from RIPE pre-computed; Atlas does not re-derive them.

Your probes

The probes you host, with current status and how long they have been in it — so a probe that went down three weeks ago is obvious rather than just "Disconnected".

Your measurements

The measurements you own, including top expense measurements (30 days) and recently failed measurements. This is the one place in Atlas that writes back to RIPE: you can stop a measurement you own from here.

Refreshing

The Refresh button forces a re-read from RIPE rather than serving the cached response. Use it after making a change on RIPE's side; ordinary page loads do not need it.
